Selling secrets is a trilogy of site-specific dance work that looks at how we behave in different environments; a hotel, a pub, and an office. co-created with members of the community, and drawing upon real-life experiences, the works prove that real life is often stranger than fiction.

Created in just five days in collaboration with members of the local community in Bournemouth, using their stories, ideas and choreographic suggestions. Real-life experiences of being in a hotel, pub and office were brought to life and woven together to create a series of unique and intimate site-specific dance works.

Created between 2013 and 2015, the trilogy of works were commissioned supported by Pavilion Dance South West as part of Casson’s 3 year relationship as an Associate Artist.

quote

There is a maturity and cohesion about Office that takes the themed pop-up form to a new level. In short it’s a winner and opens up a host of possibilities for future performances: its portable nature and susceptibility to local stories means it could be coming to an office near you.
