Our Placement Student from Kingston University, Lottie Bakewell is working on her very own creative project with Casson & Friends.

#MovementMap is an experimental project taking inspiration from traditional choreology and labanotation, encouraging spontaneous movement!

Lottie has created a movement project and is inviting YOU to join her in creating some dances. Here’s how to get involved…

How Does It Work?

Lottie has created 3 movement maps for you to browse below and on Instagram - you can…

• either

  • Use one of the movement maps to inspire a short dance

  • Film it (it can be filmed anywhere!)

  • Post it on Instagram making sure you tag @cassonandfriends!

• or

  • Create your own movement map

  • Take a photo and post it on Instagram making sure you tag @cassonandfriends!

  • Lottie will choreograph a dance inspired by your map, and post it back to Instagram for you to share!

A compilation of your maps and dances will be brought together and posted on our Instagram this weekend 19-20th March - so make sure you keep an eye out!!
