Choreographic Observership Opportunity 2018 with Casson & Friends
As Casson & Friends go into creation for their new interactive digital work, ‘Choreocracy’, they continue their commitment to artist development by offering 2 choreographic observerships.
The scheme will offer 2 UK based artists the chance to spend 2 days with Casson & Friends, getting hands-on with the production, as the company bring their performance from studio to stage.
The opportunity will allow artists to take class with the company, observe studio rehearsals, run throughs, technical rehearsals and speak with members of the cast and creative team.
The opportunity is most suitable for choreographers / practitioners interested in collaborative, interactive and digital performance.
Dates: 8th May and 16th May 2018 in London and Ipswich.
Support: Casson & Friends are able to offer a contribution to each artist of up to £100, to cover their expenses and transport to and from the rehearsals.

Successful applicants will be informed by the 4th May 2018.
We particularly encourage artists from outside of the dance sector, and artists based in/around Suffolk to apply.
‘Choreocracy’ will Preview on May 18th at DanceEast, before touring later in the year.
The production is commissioned by DanceEast and Supported by Theatre Delicatessen, South East Dance, and Studio Wayne McGregor through the FreeSpace Programme.
Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
